Dr. M.S.Moodithaya is a Professor in International Business and Strategy and the founder director of the Institute. He is a postgraduate in Cost Accounting from University of Mysore and a postgraduate diploma holder in Marketing and Sales Management from Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan, Bombay. Mangalore Univeristy has awarded him the degree of Ph.D. for his thesis on “Problems and Prospects of Rural Industries in the Context of Globalisation”.  He is also a qualified lead assessor for ISO certifications.

Dr. Moodithaya has more than twenty five years experience in teaching, administration, research and Consultancy.  He has published several papers in refereed journals and keeps writing in journals and magazines on contemporary issues in management. He has presented more than 50 technical papers in National and International Conferences. He is an active member of Third Sector Research Interest Group, India, Indian Society for Technical Education, Association for Research on Non-profit Organisation and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA), USA, International Society for Third Sector Research (ISTR), USA and several other professional organizations. He has presented research papers in International Conferences held at New York, Geneva, Cape Town, Beijing, Bangkok, Hawaii, Manila etc, in the areas of Sustainable Development, Micro finance and Corporate Philanthropy.  His consulting assignments include among others, being the Knowledge Partner for Corp Banks MSME Excellence Awards Program-2008. 

Dr. Moodithaya has worked as the chairperson of Board of Studies, Board of Examiners and Research Committees of Visveswaraya technological University and few other Universities.  He has completed research projects funded by organizations like Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Karnataka State Agriculture and Marketing Board, NABARD, Ford Foundation, ICSSR, Sir Ratan Tata Trust etc. He is widely traveled in India and abroad and visited countries like USA, Japan, UK, France, Switzerland, Kenya, UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong, Oman, Philippines, South Africa and China on research and consultancy assignments. He has written a book titled Rural Self Employment Programmes in India: An Appraisal.
